The following accident scared the hell out of me.
Arround 11.00 pm I was watching TV in my living room. All of a sudden, strong crash from my bedroom.
When I got there I was stunned by the scene.
TV fell itself from 5 feets height streight to the ground. The wall plugs yielded under the weight of TV and it got smashed.
Sad and happy at the same time
I was happy nobody got hurt nor greater damage was committed. I had this TV for 5 or 6 years and it was finally time to replace it with LCD. Not to mention the space it occupied. 🙂
On the other hand, I lost my watching-TV-before-sleep routine. I must admit I miss that. 🙁
Now, I didn’t run the next day to buy a new one. Since Christmas and New Year is approaching, I count on some price cutting.
I assume people in US already spent a little fortune on Black Friday.
Maybe too much? I hear ya.
Something good out of something bad
That bizzare event gave me some extra time to work on my blog. First couple of nights I had trouble falling asleep.
So I decided to take my notebook and instead of watching TV, I started to put some drafts for future blog posts. This turned to be very effective way for beating my blank page.
It’s crucial to build your daily routine. Whether early in the morning or before asleep like me, you need to develop your writing habit.
Do you have a specific time of the day when you write best?
If you publish irregularly, your readers won’t know when to expect to hear from you.
Last week I published three posts. OK, including my guest bloggers, but you got the point.
Now I think, is it worth to buy that new TV for my bedroom?
Have you experienced some bizzare or strange event that actually did something good for you?
You tell me!
Please leave a comment and let me know.
Cheers,

Dragan,
Funny while also getting across a key message. Love it!
Now can you help me with how to *not* carry my iPad into this territory and pick up a book – or maybe just go to sleep instead? 😉
Dragan Palla
In your case Alison this will be difficult since you’re a social media expert.
As far as I’m concerned, this only tell you’re commited to your work and I suppose if I tell you to smash your iPad – probably wont work! 😉
Btw, love your site (Genesis rocks).
