There’s no doubt that mobile marketing is not the wave of the future, it’s the here and now. Mobile marketing is not just a fad or some fly-by-night trend that will soon fall by the wayside.
It’s most definitely here to stay and will continue to grow and evolve over time. In fact, mobile devices have revolutionized the way we do business.
The fact is 4 out of 5 consumers use their smartphone to shop. However, finding new ways to drive traffic through your mobile marketing campaigns can be challenging.
That’s why it’s so important that you teach your marketing teams to think outside the box and get those creative juices flowing. Because if you are just churning out the same old tired marketing tactics, your audience will stop opening your messages or worse, unsubscribe.
Here are five creative mobile marketing tips that will drive hoards of traffic to whatever it is you have to offer.
1. Don’t forget the basics
Remembering the basics isn’t really a new tactic; however, it’s a must if you want to start your campaign off on the right foot. For example: make sure your site is mobile responsive and that all your menus, pictures, videos and other content display well and are user friendly.
Once finished, you also need to test your site to make sure it’s responding properly and looks good on a mobile device. You can test your site on any mobile test website, such as StudioPress or something similar.
2. You must use a prominent call to action button
You need to keep your mobile designs simple and to the point, but they still must grab your visitors attention, if you want them to be effective.
And one great way to drive more traffic to your offers is to have a big, powerful call to action button prominently displayed that tells your visitors exactly what it is you want them to do.
Remember, if you don’t tell them what to do, they won’t do it.
3. Are you using the right color scheme for your target audience?
According to the Institute for Color Research, the average person’s brain makes subconscious judgments about a product, person, or the environment within the first 90 seconds and about 2/3 of that judgment is based on the colors that were present.
This is basic marketing 101; however, just because you are now marketing to mobile device users doesn’t mean the colors you use for your campaigns no longer matters.
The colors you use matter, they always have and always will!
4. Build a rapport with your audience
This seems like common sense, but there are plenty of people who aren’t doing it right. Some marketing campaigns consist of slapping up some repurposed content and calling it a day.
That’s not going to work anymore, people want to feel like they are a part of something. You can start building a rapport by sharing a story or personal experience or anything else that your audience can relate to then ask them to respond with a story of their own.
This is how you communicate with your friends and family, by telling them about things that are happening in your life. Well, building your brand is no different.
You must build an environment where people feel like they are part of the family. Once you do, you will have made a loyal customer, probably for life.
5. A picture says a thousand words
Sharing pictures goes along with building a rapport with your audience by building friendships. What are people doing these days?
They are taking pictures and sending them to their friends and family. That’s just what friends do. And sharing pictures will increase your user engagement dramatically.
Why?
Because that’s what people are used to doing and they will respond to it without feeling like they are being marketed to and that’s the best type of marketing you can do.
These are just 5 of many tips that you can begin using now. What mobile marketing strategy are you using to ensure a profitable 2016?
