Guest posts are a great way to expand your audience and network with other niche bloggers at the same time.
Ideally though, you want to work with people who are going to increase the value of your blog.
This could be in a variety of forms, but their writing should make your site a better piece of Internet real estate.
So how do you do this?
What are the important factors that make certain posts more valuable than others?
Complement your own material
The first thing to consider is the topic they are going to expand on.
Make sure it works with your content or will complement it appropriately.
The natural curiosity of your readers will lead them to your similar articles and they will end up perusing your site afterwards more fully engaged.
How to choose a topic
As far as choosing a topic, there are literally millions to choose from. To narrow it down, take a look at the most popular search results in your niche at the moment.
If you can tap into a large and current need, your page is going to increase in popularity quickly. However, this will require unique content that no one else offers in quite the same way.
Make sure your guest posts are bringing this level of creativity to your site. If not, then look around for better matches in terms of working together.
Appeal to your readers
Have your readers expressed interest in a particular subject?
If so, then you can use this chance to answer that need with reliable information.
The more you do this, the more they will learn to trust your site. This automatically increases profits because of promised future visits.
Working with ads
If you have ads on your page, then they are more likely to be clicked through. This is especially true when they are matched up with your content appropriately.
Companies like Google AdSense will do this for you, but you can also work with ads that have been purchased by individuals. They may have requested space on a particular page of your site and supplied the banner to you directly.
If you participate in this kind of advertising, it results in more personal relationships across networks.
In fact, you may work out a trade agreement later on where you advertise on their site as well.
Offering related affiliate products
By including affiliate links that also fall into those parameters, you’ll give your readers a chance to follow through on your suggestions.
Again, this is yet another way to increase profits over time.
Earning the trust of your audience
The trust of a loyal following takes time to earn, but it’s more than worth the effort.
By posting only guest posts and material that your audience finds helpful and intentionally seeks out, you will be shared by them more often in social media as well.
When you use this information to seek out valuable guest posts, you’ll find that your site becomes more profitable and gains a larger following.
These are tips that anyone can use, no matter whether you’ve just begun a blog or have been around for a long time.
Do you have suggestions on how to increase the profitability of your site with guest posts? Have you used any of the above-mentioned techniques?

I have a blog where I accept guest posts from bloggers for free, but I charge companies to publish a guest post with a link to their site on my blog because there is an overwhelming amount of companies who want to do that. I can’t fill my blog with a bunch of self-promotional advertisements disguised as informative articles. So to weed out some of those companies, I started charging a fee for placing an article with a link to a company site. So that has made guest posting directly profitable on that blog. I don’t think this can be done on every blog, but certain blog niches get way too many companies wanting to promote their site.

This is actually a good idea for making some money out of your blog. It makes sense as long as paid guest posts are closed to your niche.
Thanks Lisha for sharing it!

Aw, this was an incredibly good post. Taking a few minutes and actual effort
to produce a superb article… but what can I say…
I procrastinate a whole lot and never seem to get nearly anything
done.
