How many times have you thought about taking college class online? Do you assume that the whole process is going to be simple and effortless?
If that is the case, you have another thing coming.
As someone who went to class online and earned a college degree, I can attest that the whole process is going to require hard work and dedication.
Don’t just expect the degree to be handed over because that is the farthest thing from the truth.
Homework Takes Priority
It is easy enough just to forget about your homework or deadlines on a big project when you don’t have a class to attend that keeps reminding you.
Often times there would be an incidence where I missed a deadline and my grade suffered because of it.
You have to remember that it is up to you to remain accountable for your actions. No one is going to be sitting there holding your hand to make you do your coursework.
Hold Yourself Accountable
Accountability is imperative, so if you need to have a calendar reminder that tells you when there is an assignment due, and do it.
Getting the coursework done is up to you, so you need to make sure you have the proper tools in place to get things done around the clock.
Your grades will end up suffering because of your lack of willpower, which only ends up in prolonging your degree due to repeated classes.
Why would you want to make things take any longer than necessary when you have the power to get them done in a timely fashion?
As I said, it is not a simple walk in the park to getting your degree online.
Control Your Own Fate
Only you can control how quickly you get the classwork done and whether you will succeed or fail.
It might take a little while to get used to the format and curriculum online, but once you are in the groove of things, it seems to flow by effortlessly.
Patience is the key in helping you along the journey.
Don’t just give up on something because it seems a little more difficult than what you originally thought it was going to be.
Hard Work Pays Off
Anything in life worth having is worth working for, so try to keep that in the back of your mind as you progress through the classes.
If you truly want to transform your life and get a college degree online, you can do it. All you need to do is make the decision to take it one class at a time and before you know it, you will be breezing through the classes.
Remember that it might be discouraging at first, but with enough patience and perseverance, you will make it through the classes in no time.
Don’t sell yourself short on anything you want to do in your life.
Even though it might be difficult in the beginning, nothing worth having will be a simple walk in the park.
Take pride in your classwork and what you are trying to do because in the end that degree will be well worth all of the sweat and tears that went into it.
Are you ready?
What are your fears or worries that are holding you back from attending college and earning your degree?

Hi Marcella,
I completely agree with you. It’s very easy to be fooled that online education is something simple and easy. But quite contrary it requires persistence and hard work.
